Remember when I wrote about my plans for 2026 back in December 2025? Well, forget about some of them!

In specific, forget about my plans to assist Frolicon 2026. I have my convention badge. I got my host hotel room. I was ready to just buy my plane tickets. Then I was notified by my doctor I need back surgery. in a few weeks. And it cannot wait longer…

That means I will be right in the middle of recovery (3 months of initial recovery) when Frolicon happens in May. I am scheduled to get surgery in early March, so I will be in the second month of initial recovery by May. My life sucks…

Having surgery also means that I will be very limited to write reviews. I will have a spinal fusion surgery, which by default will limit my movements, the physical efforts I can do, and most importantly, my pain is going to be higher than currently (at least for a few weeks). I expect to be high for weeks with painkillers and medicinal marihuana, so getting my little friend up for action is highly dubious.
