Rubber Pussy Project #150: The Fake ICE Fleshlight

Continuing with my “series” on Chinese copies, my next review deals with the second of the toys I mentioned. Now it is the turn of the fake ICE Fleshlight – bought at the same ebay store I got the fake STU. Is this copy a better option? Lets go to the review and see…

First Impressions

I have to say my first impression on this fake Fleshlight was a lot better than I expected. Inside the case, the toy can easily be mistaken by the original item – with the exception of the lack of a logo molded in the case, the products seem identical. The fake ICE does not have any branding, limiting to copy the shape and the concept, but not the texture  (IMO a smart move to avoid lawsuits). The sleeve is pretty clear and almost has an identical feel to the Fleshlight old ICE lineup.

This is the impostor

I say almost identical because first, the texture is a simple generic ribbed texture similar to the one you find in most American made products. Nothing realistic or fancy on this texture, just simple ribs to create friction. The sleeve itself is less sticky than the Fleshlight brand and is just a notch firmer – noticeable only if you are an experienced Fleshlight user. The other thing you will notice on the sleeve is manufacturing / demolding issues such as missing chunks at the end of the sleeve or indentations on the orifice side – clear signs of rushed production.

Review

Once lubed, this impostor did an excellent job. It felt better than the Fleshlight Super Ribbed texture, being more similar to toys like the Sasha Grey stroker, but with a softer texture. The clear material did its magic on allowing to see the action happening inside the toy, and orgasms with this toy were good. Nothing spectacular, but good enough to make me forget I was using a cheap imitation of a classic Fleshlight.

Of course, being a Chinese imitation, I have my concerns about possible toxicity of the materials used in the toy – we all know how infamous are Chinese products in including surprises like lead and other carcinogens as their ingredients. Now, when I unpacked this toy I did not get any chemical odor (normal with all TPE toys), and I have to say I did not get any rash or burning sensation during or after using the toy, so I am assuming I am on the safe side… At least for the time being.

Cleaning was easy – just like cleaning an original Fleshlight.

Verdict:

I have to admit this toy felt just like a Fleshie – for a third of its list price. If you can get it on ebay for $25 or less (by using ebucks like I did), then it is a good purchase. Remember this is a Chinese made toy, so buy under your own risk.
