So the last one of my “Chinese Trilogy” is the review of the knock-off of the now classic TENGA Flip Black toy. I have the Tenga Flip in three of their versions (Black, White, and Red) and although not one of my favorite toys, it is a toy I often revisit because it is easy to disguise, easy to use, and easy to clean and dry, specially when I am traveling. The main issue with the Flip? It costs… $75 for a toy designed for 50 sessions is not that cost effective in my book.
When I saw a Chinese knock-off on Ebay for just $5.00 (yep, that’s how much I paid for this toy), I had to try it. Is the Chinese copy a good purchase? Lets see…
First Impressions
I did not have a lot of hope for a $5 toy, but I should know better by now…
This copy is less a copy than a redesign – one that I really liked! For starters, the Semo is the same size of the Tenga Flip and follows the concept of a two parts turtle shell, but that is were all similarities end. The Semo uses a top ring to secure the parts together instead of the side lock used by Tenga. That single change improves using the toy in two ways: 1) It really locks the two halves of the toy, making accidental openings impossible and 2) It allows the Semo to have side indentations that makes the toy easier to grasp. I had not used the toy and I was already liking it!
The other improvements came with the TPE sleeve sections. Unlike the Tenga Flip, the Semo allows you to remove the TPE section completely from the case, making cleaning it a lot easier. Even better, the texture inside the toy is relatively simple, creating a central tunnel that should make cleaning the toy even easier than the complex structures inside the Flip toy.
Talking about structures, the texture of the Semo is an interesting torture device. Just like the Flip, the TPE used in this toy is on the harder side and has a texture based on sharp triangular edges, wavy patterns, pleasure half-spheres and bumps – each one being intense on its own, here dedicated to a specific part of your penis. The triangles and the waves will work the sides while the bumps and half-spheres will deal with upper and lower sections of your little friend. Not enough? The Semo also has two plastic pressure points which you can squeeze to make the texture more intense…
This toy promised intense sessions – and it did not disappointed!
Review
As I expected this toy was intense! I could notice the side textures easily and the nubs / half spheres combination worked to keep my penis well entertained while the top ring design helped in creating a better suction than I hoped. I did not need to use the pressure points – the toy is already perfectly tight for an average width penis like mine – But it was interesting to know they were there in case I wanted to use them.
The toy was a lot easier to grasp than the Flip Hole and a lot quieter too – so I found it easier to use than the Flip.
Cleaning was super easy and quick thanks to the removable TPE halves.
Verdict:
The Semo Pleasure Box is one of those rare cases where the copy is better than the original. Cheaper, easier to use, and easier to clean than the Tenga Flip Hole, I think I found a new travel companion.
