Detailed Review – First Impressions

I love modular toys and when I saw the Stax with its six textures – the three included with the main unit and the three available for additional purchase – I knew I would buy it. Each one of the textures is a plastic disc with a TPE center – five of them open. You can use each texture separately or clip them in any order on the included rack , allowing you to create different sensations. You can place up to five discs on the clip, giving you up to 6 inches to penetrate.

Each texture is brightly colored, making it easy to identify them while playing. When you buy the main unit you get the Tight Hole (pink), Ribbed (blue), and Dotted (orange). The additional textures (available separately) are the Loose Hole (yellow), the Virgin Hole (purple) and the Dome (green).

Review

The Stax textures can be used either independently or stacked on the main unit, so I will review each one of the individual textures and then I will let you know my favorite combinations.

1) Ribbed texture (blue). This is a simple texture with three thick ribs. It grips the penis nicely, so it is really good to stimulate the shaft of the penis.

2) Dotted texture (orange). This is the most intense texture of the bunch. With bumps on its bumps, the Dotted can be a little bit overwhelming on the glans, but it feels great on the upper part of the shaft. I recommend to use plenty of lube with this texture, just to lower the intensity to acceptable levels.

3) Tight Hole texture (pink). This texture is just slightly tighter than the Ribbed, but because the ribs on the Tight Hole are vertical (parallel to his penis), it does not feel too intense when stroking. Twist the texture and you have a total different story. When twisted, the ribs feel like small tongues lapping, which is a very good sensation when you hit the head of your penis.

4) Virgin Hole texture (purple). This texture is tighter than the Ribbed with material flaps at slightly different levels. It feels great for stroking, specially when getting close to the penis’ head.

5) Loose Hole texture (yellow). This is the softest of the textures, with big flaps and bumps to provide the stimulation. Feels good on both the shaft and the top of the penis.

6) Dome texture (green). This is the only closed texture and with its bumps it is a default “head” exciter when used by itself.

The individual textures can be used to “spice up”  your masturbation session or they can improve a good oral sex session. Personally, I liked to use the STAX textures as a sleeve, combining three or four of the textures to get unique sensations. Since you have six different textures, you can create up to 720 sets  – each set giving you a complete different sensation. Of course, I could not try all 720 options, but I found three sets that I enjoyed on various occasions during the testing period. These three sets are:

Set #1 (from top to bottom): Green+Orange+Purple+Blue. This was my intense combination since all the textures used are either tight or extremely bumped, giving an intense workout to my little friend.

Set #2 (from top to bottom): Green+Yellow+Pink+Blue. This combination gives a good balance between intensity with the bumps on the Dome at the top and the tightness at the base  with the Ribbed  and a softer massage on the shaft with the pink and yellow textures.

Set #3 (from top to bottom): Green+Yellow+ Pink+ Purple. This combination was the softest, perfect for long sessions while watching blowjob porn.

Now, while using the STAX as a stroker, I found the rack a little bit annoying. To assemble the sets, you just slide the desired texture in one of the five spaces on the rack. The problem is that often the textures feel as if they are going to fall apart because nothing is securely attached. Add the big diameter of the toy, and you always feel as if the whole thing is going to break apart and fell in pieces to the floor.  Still the unique combinations and sensations will make your sessions quite interesting.

Cleaning is super easy because you can disassemble the whole thing in seconds.

Verdict

The STAX is an interesting toy that can give you hours of enjoyment for a little bit more of $60 of your hard earned cash when you buy the basic unit and the three additional individual textures. The orgasms you will get with this toy will depend on how creative you become and if you use the textures individually or combined.
